The What - Creative Product
Make a list of what you think creative products are.
Probably, your list includes things like: paintings and other artwork, crafts, music, entertainment (movies, TV shows, books, etc.), food – things that are cooked or baked; anything that’s decorated – a home, store window, middle school locker, fashion, and anything we look at that’s clever. Maybe you listed ideas and inventions.
You’d be right. They are all creative products. They’re the kinds of creative products that may come to mind first, the same way that artists and performers may come to mind first when we talk about creative persons.
Creative products can also be novel solutions, scientific breakthroughs, or simply a new way to do something. Leadership can be creative. Diplomacy can be creative, as can human services. Medical devices, consumer products and services, cost-saving measures, therapies, concepts, techniques, institutions, systems of operation, changes in individual or group behavior – all can be creative products. Simply put, a creative product is the outcome of creative effort.
When you expand your awareness of creative products, you can really see how important creativity is to the advancement and improvement of pretty much anything in life.
